Spray Dried Composite Particles: Formulation and Process Parameters, Effect of two API Concentrations and Stability Assessment
Source:
AAPS 2017
In dry powders for inhalation the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) is typically blended with excipients. However, poor drug delivery uniformity is frequently observed and the addition of a second API further increase the complexity of the formulation. In order to overcome these challenges, the engineering of carrier-free composite particles by spray drying (SD) is a suitable alternative.
